Graphic design, web & UI design
A creative journey is rarely a linear path. It is full of growth and slowly finding your creative self. I have been fortunate to explore various areas of design: graphic, web and UI design.
I obtained my BTech Honours degree (Cum Laude) in Graphic Design from the Durban University of Technology. I first started my design career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in a full-service creative agency.
I then moved into a worldwide remote freelance capacity where I focussed my clients and projects on brand design, packaging design, book cover design and digital illustration.
I am now a Creative Director in Web3 Tech, where I specialize mainly in brand design, illustration, web design, UI and UX design for the Metaverse.
I also represented South Africa at the WorldSkills International competition for Graphic Design Technology in Kazan, Russia, in 2019. Read more about it here.

Pretty Little Party (Client Packaging)
Pretty Little Party is a party planning company in South Africa. They approached me to create a selection of mini piñata packaging boxes. Their hand-made party favours are filled with yummy treats – ideal for birthdays, weddings, farewells, holidays and other special events.

Stumble Up Hiking App: UI Design
Stumble Up was my BTech Honours project at University. My project explored how information design can be used as both a wayfinding and educational tool along a KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) hiking trail. This project combined my love for hiking, graphic design, UI design, photography and illustration. Visual storytelling was also a strong component throughout this study.
I created a hiking navigation app and the physical signboards. The app provided educational information and also had an interactive Ecotherapy tool and tracker. This tracker measured the user's feelings before and after each hike. Users could also win digital badges on the app, share their hiking experiences with friends, as well as learn interesting educational information along the trail, such as the history of the area they were hiking through.

Educattastic (Client Branding & Book Cover Design)
I was approached by Educattastic to design a logo and three book cover designs for their English Home Language workbooks. The client requested that the logo design be fun and quirky, yet still able to live within a professional space. The other mandatory was to include a cat wearing black and white polkadot glasses.
