What is an NFT?

A non-fungible token (an NFT) is a unique digital asset that is stored on a blockchain (a public ledger/record). NFTs are the authentic versions of a digital asset. They prove proof of ownership of the item.

NFT artworks are often digital collectibles that can be bought, sold, traded & collected. They are a way of directly supporting artists & ensuring you are buying a true original and authentic piece of art. This security is made possible through blockchain technology.

Are NFTs bad for the environment?

NFTs and blockchain technology have evolved over the years but, unfortunately, they still have a stigma attached to them. Today, there are lots of carbon-neutral & environmentally friendly blockchains. I choose to mint my NFTs on blockchains that use the proof-of-stake (POS) validation system. POS uses less than 2 Google searches of energy. Click here to learn more about NFT energy consumption.
