WHAT IS WORLDSKILLS?

WorldSkills is an international skills competition held every 2 years. One national representative from each of the 85 countries involved, across 56 different skills, competes in the 'Skills Olympics.' All competitors must be under the age of 22 and only the national gold medalist of each skill is invited to compete at an international level to become a WorldSkills Champion.

My WorldSkills journey started in February 2017 when I won the silver medal for Graphic Design Technology at the WorldSkills South Africa competition.

In 2019, at age 21, I returned for my shot at the title. I won first place as the gold medalist winner of the WorldSkills South Africa national competition for Graphic Design Technology. I was sponsored specialized training at Keyline Digital Design College where I underwent personalized, individual training sessions in print and digital software programs to prepare for Russia.
